James Stewart

Jim Stewart has been the Chief Deputy Sheriff for Brazos County since January of 2013; prior to that he was a Lieutenant (Reserve) with the Bryan Police Department.  Jim is a retired Army Colonel having served for over thirty years in a variety of Intelligence assignments culminating as the Deputy J2 (Intelligence Officer) for the US Central Command during the initial phases of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  In the years leading up to his appointment as Chief, Jim was an Adjunct Instructor for TEEX, specializing in the area of Emergency Management (Incident Command System) training.
