Wayne Dicky has been employed by the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office for 33 years. He has served the Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer, corporal, shift sergeant, facility lieutenant, patrol deputy, and jail administrator. As a graduate of Sam Houston State University, he majored in Criminal Justice. He earned Texas certification as a Master Peace Officer and Master Jailer. He has held the designation of Certified Jail Manager from the American Jail Association since 2001 and served as Chairman of American Jail Association’s Jail Manager Certification Commission. He earned certification as a Correctional Executive from the American Correctional Association in 2015. He graduated in the 23rd class of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) Leadership Command College and completed the 199th Session of the FBI National Academy. He is a Past-President of both the American Jail Association and the Texas Jail Association.
