The R U OK? is a free program designed to check up on our Brazos County Senior and Homebound citizens living alone, 65 and over, residing outside the city limits of Bryan-College Station. The program is a FREE service provided by the Brazos County Sheriff's Office. All information is confidential, and you may opt out of the program at any time.

Volunteers will contact clients at a designated time up to three times per week, and asked R U OK?, and if the client says "yes," the client may simply hang up. If the client expressed a concern, the volunteer would access the nature of the concern, and a deputy or emergency personnel will be dispatched. If you have a scheduled appointment and will not be home during your prearranged time you may contact us at (979) 775-7865 (RUOK.)

For all unanswered calls or busy signals, numerous attempts will be made by the volunteer, and if there is still no answer, the volunteer may request a deputy be sent to your location for a wellness check.
